I shan’t lie to you, dear readers. This past week has been a doozy. I’ve been sprinting hard to the finish line on a product launch (more on that in a bit) and trying to get enough done to be able to be present with my loved ones over the holiday. It’s been a lot. Balance? Yeah, she’s left the building.
Given the slightly stressful circumstances, you’d think I’d be, well…more stressed. I’m not cranky, though, or grouchy! And I’m as surprised as you by that fact! What I am is thoroughly exhausted, but my weariness has a pleasant slant because I am working on a project driven by purpose.
On the phone with my partner last night when he asked what I was thankful for, I reflected, “I’m working harder than ever before and am more tired than I’ve ever been, but I’m grateful for it because I love the work. I’m grateful to be so connected to my purpose in this moment of time.” I’m also able to appreciate the moment for what it is because the end of this sprint period is in sight, so close I can taste it.
With that said re: where my brain space has been this week, writing the blog has been the absolute last thing on my mind. So rather than sharing any of the usual reframes or mindset shifts, I’ll offer up a few of the beautiful and simple things I’m grateful for this year and hope you’ll leave a comment with some of your own gratitudes ❤️
I truly couldn’t get any more “basic” than this for a Thanksgiving blog post, but I’ve long posited that the things that are considered cliché in our society are only labeled as such because they contain universal truths — so yeah, I’m gonna write ya a gratitude list & you can’t stop me!!
I’m grateful for a family I love to come home to, and for living close enough to them that I can come home easily for the major holidays and more frequently.
I’m grateful for new family stories exchanged over bellies full of food and laughter.
I’m grateful for my beautiful tapestry of friends & loved ones, old and new.
I’m grateful for a partner who makes every sleepy 1 a.m. holiday FaceTime after our families have gone to sleep worth staying up for, a thousand times over.
I’m grateful for my physical and psychological safety when that is far from a given in our current world.
I’m grateful for the creatively abundant universe I find myself a resident of.
I’m grateful for collaboration and new artistic homes, and the ways creatives weave and interconnect our communities.
I’m grateful to myself for many reasons — for finally giving myself permission to take actions as big as my dreams. For stepping into my ability to lead from where I am. For investing in what matters to me long-term. For taking the ups and downs for what they are, and pressing on. For making every effort not to waste this precious life I’ve been given. For trying, failing, and trying again.
And if you’re reading this, know that I am so so grateful for you. 🥰
Love you, mean it!
These Are a Few of My Favorite Things (this week)
This is where I’m gonna be sharing assorted cool shit. It’s also a place for me to put you onto some of the coolest people I have the pleasure to know, pay it forward, and give folks their flowers. You can always scroll to this part if you’re a TL;DR type of person. I won’t judge.

Crafting Connections
This is where I’m gonna leave you with a big ol’ question. Something to ponder, have a moment with your journal over, or to connect about with me & other creatives in the comments. To not only (hopefully) connect to one another, but to connect the dots between the seemingly unrelated, and connect to yourself in ways you may not have considered yet!
What areas in your life could you approach with more intention in these final weeks of the year? Where do you want to be more intentional in the New Year? Can you start making those shifts now?
I can’t wait to hear your thoughts & musings! Also feel free to share what you’re grateful for below 👇
xx
